Adventure Associates' newest venture into Coffee Tours with our partner, Elan Organic Certified Coffees, brings us to rural and modern Ethiopia for an exciting blend of educational experiences and historical sightseeing. On this one-of-a-kind tour, we will visit extensively with the Oromia Coffee Farmers Cooperative Union, enjoy coffee cuppings and ceremonies of the indigenous Oromia culture, camp in the heartland of Ethiopian coffee, and tour the old walled city and diverse markets of Harer. We will explore the harvesting, washing, drying, and coffee pulping processes as well as visit the national coffee processing center and warehouse, the national coffee auction and the headquarters of the Cooperative Union. Enjoy free time in Addis Ababa and a farewell banquet with traditional Ethiopian food, music and dancing!
